Owners of vehicles equipped with the Ford 5.4L triton engine from 2004-2014 report hearing a ticking noise from the engine accompanied by a loss of power and often a "check engine" light. Research has revealed that the cause of these issues is usually attributed to a failure of the cam phasers and timing chain tensioners due to excessive oil clearance in the cam journals. Unfortunately, due to misinformation on the internet, many owners have replaced their cam phasers and timing chain sets, only to have the problem re-occur. Our Ford 5.4L 3V engines are re-engineered to eliminate the actual cause of the problems. To correct the oil clearance issues, the cam journals are align bored and a custom-made cam bearing is installed. In addition, our Ford 5.4 engines are built with a high volume oil pump to insure an adequate supply of oil pressure to the heads. Our engines are built with all new valvetrain and timing components plus updated graphite coated hypereutectic pistons. We also include the remaining installation gaskets and exhaust stud kit. There is a refundable $500 core deposit added to the price of each engine and refunded upon return of your old engine. Two way shipping is included in the lower 48.
